Hey there, I'm David "Owl" Chen. This website began as a humble seed of inspiration. The goal was simply to clarify intentions and practice accountability toward a dream that's been simmering and evolving since 2016. The vision is centered around community and currently expresses itself as... 

"The Owl Nest is a wilderness retreat, international music venue, wellness center and oasis for hikers on the Pacific Crest Trail. This modern-rustic sanctuary is nestled in the Oregon wilderness."

Here, in 2025, that vision is softening into an acknowledgement of all that exists now within the incredible Central Oregon community...

To be clear, an ever-expanding vision does exist (and perhaps always will). The shift, however, is deciding that the miraculous awareness of life is enough. I believe contentment is more of a choice than a series of benchmarks to "achieve," even as we tend our growing gardens. In the end, the flow of life is greater than any one person's dream. As the river bends, I have faith and endless optimism.
